Sloppy Databases Suck

If you don’t tell people what sort of classification system you’re using, how can they find anything? You can’t just assume that people know what system you are using. And we users shouldn’t have to guess. If we have to guess then how are we supposed to know if we can’t find something because it’s not in your database, or we guessed wrong? We’re supposed to waste time guessing until we’ve exhausted all the possibilities? Ridiculous!

This crappy database has 50 million little boxes you can tick off for specifying the detailed info you want for your item, but very limited options for actually inputting the item you are looking for. Why? I don’t know.

Anyway, I know the information I want must be in this database, but I can’t get it.

Even worse is that links to the database are OLD and not updated. I had to use google to find the new link.

The least they could do is have a ’search all’ button. At least then I could sift through some hits instead of getting NOTHING. Jeez.
