My Nose Is Running.
I have a cold. I feel shitty and I’m not interested in food. Oh, the horror. Yesterday I was hungry, but had no desire to cook anything, so I rummaged in the cupboard and found some instant sesame seed dessert: you just boil water, pour and stir. EASY! But then I realized it smelled rancid. I made it anyway, because I really didn’t want to expend any energy on cooking. I ate one teaspoon and had to throw it away. I also threw away the remaining packets. It had a 2005 expiry date. After that, I made pancakes and used syrup that I probably bought in 2005. It tasted fine. Mostly, I’ve just been drinking a lot of hot water because it makes my throat feel better.
I have not been running in days but yesterday I walked up many flights of stairs at a constant rate and didn’t die. So I think I am maintaining some level of cardiovascular fitness. My muscles are weakened though, as I could not lift my 10kg bag of flour without duress. I hope this flour is better than the last brand- I think that last stuff I bought is too fine for bread, maybe it should be for pastries and cakes. I couldn’t find unbleached flour, again.
I need to start doing push-ups again, and some planks.
I haven’t had a chance to do any more digestion experiments.
I am still reading Microserfs. I am enjoying it. It might even be Eleanor Rigby-good. I keep wanting to take notes on the lines and passages that I especially like, but then I also want to keep reading, so I don’t.
