PowerBar Circa 2004

That’s what I’m eating at this very moment. Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip flavour, dry and as tasty as I remember them to be, and it smells like it should. This is perhaps the oldest piece of food I’ve eaten in recent history. Awesome. I’m really hungry because I had a small lunch. I just wasn’t too hungry at the time, and I knew I would later in the afternoon, so I brought along this PowerBar, which I have been saving for situations like these.

PowerBar is the first company I have seen that is okay with you eating their products after the expiry date:

Q: How long will my POWERBAR Harvest® Whole Grain bars last?
A: Each POWERBAR Harvest® Whole Grain bar is stamped with an expiry date. Although it is safe to eat POWERBAR Harvest® Whole Grain after this date, we recommend that you use the bar before the expiry date to ensure you’re getting the full nutritional benefits of the product.

*Any intestinal difficulties will be reported in real-time, if possible.

**UPDATE: <June 18, 2008 >Sadly, there are no incidents to report. I am perfectly fine.
