Camera + Boy +/- Flowers + Hair

I saw a cute little boy today while I was taking pictures of some flowers. He came and stood next to me and then started picking some of the blue flowers, lupins maybe, I have to check for sure when I upload the pictures. Then he got a little lecture from his mom, probably about not picking flowers. I don’t know because I do not understand Mandarin, but I do understand inflection, and this was not a ‘that’s really great son, please continue picking the flowers’ kind of talk. I think part of it was also a ‘hurry up, or we’re going to late!’ kind of talk.

I’m glad I remembered to bring my camera today. I even charged the battery last night. The magnolia tree is in full bloom. It won’t last long. I took some video as well. I should take pictures every day. It really does not take long and the world looks different.

I got up extra early so I would have time to try and fix my hair. I used molding paste, which is actually called ‘clay’. Whatever. I used a lot of it. And then I got out the blow dryer. And then I put on more paste, and then I started with the hairspray. It was quite an involved process. And what it looks like now, 2 hours later, is nothing like what it looked like when I was done. The hair does not behave. It looks alright though. Not great, but not totally hideously shitty.
