Ryan Adams Found His Glasses. Or bought new ones. Whatever.
That is all.

This is Ryan Adams with glasses:
They are plastic frames, which I enjoy, but am mostly unable to wear because I don’t have a decent nose bridge. I like plastic frames because they have a nice variety of vibrant colour combinations and different shapes. I do have one pair of plastic frame glasses with nose pads welded to them. I delayed getting my last pair of glasses for a while, to try and find another plastic frame with nose pads, but that search was unsuccessful and I bought a pair of wire frames instead. It would be nice not to require nose pads since they always get that green stuff growing on them.
I become very distressed when I am without my glasses. I really cannot see much of anything without them. It is really very annoying to misplace them, to know that they are somewhere in my messy apartment, but I don’t know where. To know that even if they are laying in plain sight, I CANNOT see them. They are small and you can see right through them, so it’s hard to pick up the contrast unless I’m within a few feet. I need lots of contrast to see things without my glasses, otherwise, it all blends together into one. I have on rare occasion had to walk around alone without my glasses and it is not fun. I am much slower and careful about where I’m stepping, and squinting to bring more things into focus. And everybody looks the same. I can tell there are people walking towards me, but that’s about it. People-shaped blobs. They have no faces. I imagine that’s sort of what it must be like to be old. You have to slow down, you can’t move as fast as you’d like. You can’t focus properly, you’re squinting all the time and it looks like you’re scowling, but you’re not. You’re just trying to see better because familiar things are not so familiar anymore.
